THEATRE EMBASSY LOOKING FOR STILTWALKERS MOZAMBIQUE!
At present, place plenty of activity in Mozambique where partner TAMBO Embassy Theatre with a show produced for the festival Tambo International Art Camp. We provide a particularly important contribution to the cultural management, but so is support in organizing and coordinating the festival in July 2011. The purpose of the Tambo International Art Camp is to bring together as much as possible disciplines (theater, dance, painting, poetry, rap, etc.), both on and off the stage and in the district. It is a mix of workshops and to show a cross-pollination to occur between different artists and to establish fruitful collaborations. And they try to participate the district and all the people involved and get people interested for the cultural expressions at the festival.
Theatre Embassy is currently looking for waders (volunteer) that could participate in the festival. Participation means the implementation of the act and giving workshops in stilt walking to (young) Africans on location in the period of July this year. Housing, food and local transport is arranged by Theatre Embassy and Tambo. Your motivation has to be that you would like to learn by working with people in unknown cultures and making inspirational arts in partnership. It is useful to speak a little Spanish or Portuguese, but not necessary.
Do you working with an organization with waders or are you interested to participate in this project? Write a mail with motivation to Job Rijnveld, jobrijnveld@hotmail.com and berith@theatre-embassy.org. For more information contact Berith Danse, 020 68 80 859 / berith@theatre-embassy.org.
